Balatoni Olaszrizling 2025

Olaszrizling 2025 is a modern, reductive white wine that showcases the fresh and fruity character of our most important grape variety. The grapes, harvested in the second half of August, were processed at their ideal ripeness to ensure the wine retains both its lively acidity and intense aromatics.

Preserving the grapes’ natural character was of key importance during processing. After gentle destemming and crushing, the must was transferred using a peristaltic mash pump, minimizing damage and oxidation. The white grapes were immediately transferred to a pneumatic press, where gentle, low-pressure pressing was used to extract only the purest must fractions. Following must clarification, fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 18 °C in a reductive environment, which helped preserve the primary fruity aromas. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Fined and filtered before bottling resulting in a fresh and elegant wine.

Notes of citrus, green apple, pear, and white flowers on the nose. The palate features a lively acidity, freshness, and subtle minerality, while demonstrating the classic character of the variety alongside a more aromatic, modern profile.

Our Balaton Olaszrizling 2025 won a Gold Medal at the international VinAgora Wine Competition, and VinCE, Hungary’s most renowned wine magazine, selected it as one of its three favorite Balaton Olaszrizlings for everyday enjoyment.

An excellent choice to pair with light fish dishes, salads, poultry, grilled vegetables, or fresh summer dishes. It’s a delight whether enjoyed on its own or as a spritzer.
