Sárgamuskotály 2024

Sárgamuskotály 2024 is a white wine with a distinctive character and a more mature style, showcasing a new side of the variety’s potential. The wine is made from 100% Sárgamuskotály, of with 30% is coming from the first harvest of Bene vineyard.

The grapes were harvested in the second half of August. Grapes from Bene vineyard were processed at an extremely ripe stage, which fundamentally defined the wine’s style. Thanks to this, Sárgamuskotály 2024 does not represent the world of light, primally fragrant Muscat wines, but rather displays a much deeper, more mature character.

Gentle processing techniques played a decisive role throughout the winemaking process. After careful destemming and crushing, the grapes were transferred using a peristaltic mash pump, followed by low-pressure pneumatic pressing. Following must clarification, fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 18 °C in a reductive environment to preserve the variety’s natural aromatics and the wine’s balance. The wine aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling, which took place at the end of June 2025. It was released after additional 9 months of bottle aging.

On the nose, alongside intense spicy and grapey notes, ripe fruits, honey, and floral tones emerge. On the palate, it is characterized by a richer texture, a more substantial structure, and a longer finish, while the aromatic character typical of Sárgamuskotály elegantly accompanies the wine throughout.

Sárgamuskotály 2024 is an excellent choice for Asian dishes, spicy foods, and aged cheeses, or even on its own for more in-depth wine tastings when you’re looking for a white wine with a more complex, distinctive character.
